Hello, I'm Rachel
and this is my little pooch called Fletch. You can often find us outdoors enjoying walks, runs or bike rides together on the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire.
I’m here to inspire and empower you and other women 40+ to become more active and strong. I want to build your confidence and enjoyment of building a healthy and active lifestyle, so that you can keep doing the things you love for longer.

I’ve always loved the outdoors spending most of my child hood years traipsing around Dartmoor with my Mum and Dad looking for letterboxes. In my teens I struggled with school life, never really felt like I fitted in, hated PE and was over weight and unhappy. My cue for change was discovering my love for cycling.
I don’t like to take being active and feeling strong too seriously. In fact the more play there is in there then it’s much more enjoyable and doesn’t feel like exercise.
I love sharing a good walk, run or bike ride with friends or family BUT it has to involve coffee and cake, or maybe a cider or two. I love being outdoors. I love that sense of freedom it gives you, the headspace from my busy life and that sense of awe and wonder of discovering new places which could even be right on our doorstep.
Cycling has always been a bit part of my life and when I moved to Worcestershire I didn’t like the unfriendly welcome I’d experienced from local cycling clubs. Plus I didn’t want to always go on a bike ride and feel like I had to keep up at 15mph! How many things we will miss cycling this fast? So I decided to create a women’s cycling group called Women on Wheels. I’m excited that we are now award winning with nearly 100 members.
